Good quality, easy to use, lots of option and great price
I had been using an older Ipad as a digital picture frame but was having trouble putting photos on it. I went ahead and decided to get a real, dedicated frame, and I wanted something that looked good, was easy to use, had lots of options to put on pictures, and was inexpensive. This frame gets great marks on all. I had it up and running very quickly, it looks great, and it was easy to get the first big batch of pictures on it quickly. It is also easy to add new pictures when I get one from my family I like. I find myself adding pictures all of the time and really enjoying this frame.

Very Nice Digital Frame
We've purchased several digital frames in the past that really didn't quite live up to our expectations. Whether it was uploading pictures to them, user interface issues, or simply viewing pictures from across the room, one reason or another resulted in them all eventually being consigned to a drawer and being forgotten.
My wife has five sisters who’ve all recently purchased digital frames of one variety or another. Not being the one to be left out, she asked me to get her one for her birthday. After sorting thru the various features, options, reviews, & cost, I crossed my fingers and ordered the 15.6 Inch Large Frameo Digital Photo Frame. Turns out I couldn’t be more pleased. When it arrived, I found it trivial to set up and use. Though there are several ways to upload photos into the device, for me the simplest was to connect it to our WIFI, download the Frameo app to our phones and then dump whatever photos we wanted into the unit. The colors are brilliant and crisp and easily viewable from across the room.
Importantly the photo frame has a touch screen which easily allows the user to go quickly to settings and other options as well to edit the photo gallery uploaded into the frame. The photo frame can also display short video clips with sound (a feature we turned off when we kept hearing “unknown voices” somewhere in the house).
One thing that initially threw me off was that when using the Frameo upload app, by default the photos were always scaled to fill the frame (with a 1:1 aspect ratio). Since photos can be portrait or landscape, sometimes parts of the photo were cut off and not displayed. My previous frames didn’t do this but then I gradually realized since the Frameo app allows you to select the center of photo as you upload it, the result is probably better in most cases as the most interesting portions of the photo is displayed. In those cases where it is not, you can use the touchscreen gallery feature to select the photos you want to be displayed to fit the frame. Perfect.
All-in-all a great purchase in terms of quality and value and would recommend this to anyone interested in displaying their favorite memories and in keeping their wife happy!
Great Quality and Easy to Use
The photo quality is great and it's really easy to use with the Frameo app. I like that it can be used both horizontally or vertically, and that it can play both pictures and videos. It gives a lot of value for the price.
Frameo allows you to upload media for free, but to be able to see what pictures are on the frame from your phone or to upload more than 10 pictures at a time, you need to pay for the premium package.
The only thing I wish it had was to be able to sync the frame to a google photo album.
However, I'm so happy with the purchase and to finally get to see those pictures and videos that have been hidden on my phone. Wish I got it sooner
Perfect size for wall hanging and great image quality
I purchased this frame to display images from my Europe vacation and have them cycle through in our living room. I had previously used a smaller table photo frame, and decided to try this larger size but I worried about being too big. I am so glad I did, since this is perfect size to easily fit on a wall and see across the room. The frameo application worked easily to synch with the device, allowing you to name it so that you can easily push images via wifi from app to the specific frame if you have multiple frames. At first I was concerned that there was no "wall mount" hole for hanging. But I found solution, using a cheap command strip with velcro (that can handle up to 15 lbs) which sticks easily to back flat area for hanging and doesn't damage the wall. the velcro makes it trivial to reposition if needed too. I highly recommend this photo frame.
After using this, here are the highlights:
1. Size: perfect for wall mount and viewing across room.
2. Image Quality: really nice brightness, resolution and viewing angle. We mounted it above a couch and can see it when laying on couch, standing or sitting.
3. Weather/Time display: has feature to let it show the temperature and time in upper corner. Really nice
4. Wireless Image Transfer: the app is really easy to use and transfers images or up to 14 second videos (letting you select the segment of longer video/preview before sending)
5. Individual image settings: You can change from "full" or scaled view using the touchscreen on frame after transferring since scaling may lose something important for framing. you can drag the image to re-position the picture and it stores these settings for each image. Note, you cannot select a "crop area" within a large image which would be a nice feature. You can just slide the auto cropped image up/down to adjust.
6. Video sound: you can disable or adjust volume of video sound. I turned it off since I have images cycling and the videos have sound.
7. Sharing with family: you can enable other family members to access/push images to the frame. Haven't used that feature but consider it really useful for families that want easy way to share images
8. Wiring in wall friendly: the location of wire for power is located nicely to not protrude and positioned to make it easy to hide in back of frame, making it easy to use a hole to route the wire up wall from an access port at base of wall if desired. I plan on doing that in future.
9. Video playback: this is a really nice feature. Although I would have liked option to use longer video segment, I found the 14 second that it allows is fine for a good video during auto image slideshow
The Ultimate Gallery!
As a busy mom, it’s very hard to find time to select photos I want around my house, upload them to somewhere that can print them, wait for them to be printed, then go pick them up (or wait for them to be shipped), and lastly to put them into frames. Then rinse and repeat when I want to change it up. This frame takes all that guesswork away and allows me to constantly see all of my favorite photos and memories displayed with nearly zero effort on my part! No longer are my kids 3-5 years older than the photos on the wall!
The display is crisp, and because I purchased the 15.6 inch frame, I can see it all the way across my living room. I also purchased these frames for my mother-in-law and my parents for Christmas last year. Now, we share photos at least weekly with each other. I don’t have to get on Facebook and share anything to the whole world. I can just drop photos to them anytime that they want them. My kids love to scroll through the photos themselves and react to each one by touching the screen.
I went ahead and purchased the external storage as well, so I will never run out of space for all of our photos. I also love that you can rotate the frame landscape or portrait style, and you can adjust the focal point of each photo right there on the screen and from the app.
For energy, saving purposes, I also love to schedule what time the screen comes on each day of the week and what time it goes to sleep.
If you’re on the fence, definitely don’t hesitate to buy this, you will not regret it!
Excellent digital frame, and versatile with option to use or disable WiFi
If you are looking for a digital photo frame, this is the one to get. The price is right, the picture (screen) quality is sharp and, best of all, the frame is versatile in a couple of really helpful ways.
First and foremost, this frame does not rely on or require WiFi/internet. I didn't realize I cared about this until I purchased a much more expensive (Aura) digital frame for my grandmother and ran into issue after issue. My grandmother lives in an assisted living facility and, while there is a wireless network for the residents, the connection is not strong and bandwidth extremely limited. This not only made it difficult to download the photos to the frame (that I had uploaded to the cloud via the Aura app) but it also led to problems with the frame going offline and displaying a blank screen, which I could not troubleshoot over the phone with my grandmother.
So, this is what led me to toss the Aura frame and purchase a Frameo frame instead. This frame is the best of both worlds. You have the ability to connect it to WiFi and, in turn, remotely add/delete photos via the Frameo app. BUT, you can also just plug a USB drive into the back of the frame and have it display the photos off the drive, the old fashioned way.
This thing is certainly not old fashioned, though. Not only can the frame read and display the photos off of the USB drive in real-time, but it can also load and display photos from the built-in 32GB hard drive. So, what that means is that you can just copy your photos over to the frame from your USB drive and then take your USB drive home with you at the end of the day, rather than have to leave it plugged into the back of the frame like you used to have to do.
This is what I mean by versatility. This frame will work for you no matter your circumstances or level of technical knowledge.
