DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME
My family and I highly recommend this digital photo frame for a variety of reasons but mainly because of its simple design. The frame itself is fully intact when delivered. Meaning, there aren’t any tiny pieces you’ll have to join together to build. The connection and setup is basic and is all completed once you follow the connection prompts automatically displayed on the screen of the photo frame when the device is initially plugged into a power source. Once connected to WiFi you’ll need to download the Nixplay app and create an account which will allow you to link your newly created account to the desired frame. Once fully connected and linked the uploading of photos is as easy and basic as can be. The app will ask you to allow access to your photos on your cell phone and once this access is allowed you simply select the photos you wish to display and select the ‘upload’ button. This basically is confirming all of the photos you’ve designated from your camera roll will be uploaded via WiFi connection to your new photo frame. All newly uploaded pictures are added to the rotation along with all of the previous uploaded pictures.
The app allows you to set the speed of the picture rotation and also gives the option to display the date and time at the bottom of the screen to be displayed at all times while all of the pictures filters through.
The frame is pretty pricy and is definitely not inexpensive for a photo picture frame but my family has grown to love watching it! My family and I find ourselves watching the frame cycle through all of the pictures sometimes even more intently than watching a TV program.
My mother has this frame in her living room and all of my siblings downloaded the Nixplay app and logged in to her account allowing each of us to individually add photos to her frame and update & add content periodically. Our mom is pleasantly surprised when she spots a newly added picture and it puts a smile on her face! I ended up ordering a frame for myself and simply added the serial number of the new frame to my mom’s existing account. Her app now displays two frame icons when opening the app so make sure to select which frame, or both, you wish to add your pictures to. Also, setting up our frames this way allows everyone access to add pictures to my frame as well.
Great frame. East to setup and update photos
I bought this bigger digital frame to update a smaller size Nixplay for my mother because she couldn’t see the old one as well. This was a great upgrade for her and setting it up on our existing account was very easy and all photos we wanted to transfer did so seemlessly. It has an excellent display and also plays videos. We can also easily add photos and videos remotely. Nixplay makes a really high quality, great product and user interface. I highly recommend it.

An attention getter!
So, I love being able to upload my pics from my phone or giving my family members access to upload pics. The directions for the frame were clear and the app is easy to work with. The pictures are clear and I find myself watching the frame often as my favorite people and memories scroll through. Although you have the option of cropping your pics I find that pictures that were originally taken in landscape often do not show the entire photo on the frame. Portrait pictures display perfectly. Overall, I'm happy with the frame and highly recommend it!
We can't stop looking at it!
My husband realized when he visits his parents he just stares at the photo slideshow they have set as their screensaver. This one was a little pricier than some others, but worth it for the quality and for the cloud security settings.
We LOVE this thing. Our phones and cameras are full of photos, but we never used to spend time looking at them, but now we do all the time. We have it in the living room and one of us will look up and say something like "man we had a great time on that trip!" and then relive the memories.
The only thing I didn't love is that the default transition between photos reminded me of power point presentations made by middle schoolers? Let's use every wacky transition in the book. Pixelate! Wavy out wavy in! Crush this photo with the next one! Woah this photo became a cube! But you can tell it in the settings to just slide from one photo to the next. Thank goodness.
Best gift for spread out family
I have a nixplay and both my kids have them. We live 1000 miles apart but can stay in touch with the photo frame. It has cloud sync which means any photo I share my kids can see within 60 seconds. I get to see the new photos of the grandkids everyday. It even offers short video clips.
This is a must for most families.
